DESCRIPTION
n this commentary William Weinrich draws heavily upon works by Oecumenius, Andrew of Caesarea, Tyconius, Bede the Venerable, and other patristic writers. He translates their ancient Greek, Latin, Coptic, and Syriac texts into lucid English, illuminates the consensual exegesis of the early church from the second through the mid-eighth centuries, and discerns the theological interest and pastoral intent of John's visionary letter.
