DESCRIPTION

Christian engagement with culture is often rife with unbiblical dualisms. Seeking a more holistic and Christian approach to culture, Buxton leads us towards the celebration of life in all its dimensions. The first part of Celebrating Life examines the roots of our dualistic thinking and its implications for culture. The second part of the book draws us from dualism to holism considering our engagement with literature, the creative arts, science, politics and business. The third portion draws the threads together by setting out a theology of the church?'s engagement with and participation in, contemporary society that will lead us beyond the sacred-secular divide.
