DESCRIPTION

Hauerwas is considered one of America's leading theologians, but should he be? Healy believes that unlike the comprehensive vision of, for example, Barth or Rahner, Hauerwas's overriding concern for ethics and a church-based apologetics systematically distorts Christian doctrine, de-emphasizing the Triune God. Healy calls for extensive revisions.
