DESCRIPTION
Fifty Days will change everything.
"The Spirit of the Lord is on Me...to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." When Jesus stood in His hometown synagogue and made this announcement, He was proclaiming "Jubilee", a celebration instituted by God when He brought His people out of slavery in Egypt.
Every seven years, God commanded, the Hebrews should allow themselves and their land to rest and be renewed. The themes of this ancient Jewish festival have the potential to change your life.
For 50 days, Pastor Mel Lawrenz guides you on a discovery of the seven landmarks of Jubilee, the Year of the Lord. Each week you'll dig into one of the interconnected themes:
-
Sabbath: a time and an attitude in which we rehearse that God and God alone is in control. Proclamation: knowing what we stand for in life, and letting others know it.
-
Redemption: being freed by God’s great acts of deliverance.
-
Freedom: cherishing the liberty that God brings to every area of life.
-
Forgiveness: accepting the mercy of God and releasing those we have held indebted to ourselves.
-
Healing: letting God restore our spirit, our body and our relationships.
-
Justice: standing for what is right and being an advocate for those who are downtrodden.
Are you ready to be renewed? The next 50 days are just the beginning.
