DESCRIPTION
Childs, eminent Yale professor of divinity, provides a fresh approach to Old Testament theology that frees the text for a more powerful theological role within the Christian church. Moving beyond prior historical-critical studies, Childs' canonical approach provides "a major check against the widespread modern practice of treating it solely from a philological, historical, or literary perspective." 255 pages, softcover from Fortress.
