DESCRIPTION

One of the most influential Dutch Reformed thinkers of his day, Abraham Kuyper called for a mediating position on worship, more dignified than low-church Protestants, less ceremonial than Anglicans, while using for a measuring rod practices in Scripture, the patristic era, and the Reformation. This newly translated volume is comprehensive in scope, and offers a helpful introduction by Harry Boonstra which outlines Kuyper's life and historical context. Kuyper's thoughts on worship are strikingly pertinent to our modern times.
