DESCRIPTION

None of us walks through this life unscathed. At some point we call experience what Saint John of the Cross referered to as "the dark night of the soul". Sometimes it feels like our happiness has been stolen and our enthusiasm ripped off by some thieving intruder.

Our delight with life seems to have evaporated like a mist, and we wonder if we'll ever see it again. Depression affects every dimension of our lives: physical, emotional, spiritual, relational.

Left unchecked, it can overwhelm us and devastate our lives.

Beyond the Shadaows is a unique experiential resource designed to walk you through the experiences, feelings and struggles that are common to depression. This study will help group members to be real about their hurts and fears. It will also guide you to track down and capture your joy thieves so you can recover reasons to smile and excuses to laugh. Best of all, you will join with others on the journey to find that healing occurs best within a caring community.

This resource is perfect for small groups, support groups, church soul care ministries, and counseling.
