DESCRIPTION
A CHRISTIAN REFLECTS ON LIFE AND OTHER STUFF
Contemplation. Meditation. Cogitation.
Words that make us bewildered and befuddled.
Yet again, these words are apt in summarizing the central delight of this remarkable book. It is a literary contemplation of a personal faith journey - a journey that surpasses the spiritual life into the vocational and the practical.
This remarkable book is written by one who has not only tampered into the things spiritual and devotional, but has immersed himself into the multi-faceted ocean of vocational and family life. As a pediatric consultant in private practice in Johor Bahru, Malaysia; Dr. Alex Tang is one who has entangled himself in the medical philosophical arena - embattled with ethical issues such as euthanasia and cloning. Delving into Scripture, he lovingly instructs on how to deal with depression - from a biblical standpoint.
His musings range from the instructive in nature to the polemical and logical.
Dr. Tang's experience as a Christian and director of the Spiritual Formation Institute, Holy Light Church (English), allows him also to contemplate on the Presence of God as well as being equipped to tackle the new millennium as disciples of Christ.
Yet again, not wanting to be found lacking, his musings will drive you to explore even the confusing world of parenthood and family life. The sacred duties of raising up godly children in a godless world, and what about intelligent bright kids? Dr. Tang has even devoted one chapter on raising up geniuses.
His is a clarion call to radical discipleship in ALL arenas of life.
Random musings or not, doctor or not, Dr. Tang's book is one not to be missed by young and old alike. A must -have for every Christian who is committed to living the disciple's life.
