DESCRIPTION
The first major translation of the Scriptures from the original languages to be undertaken since the King James Version (1611), the Revised Standard Version debuted in 1952.
Upon it's release, the RSV was considered by many as the most readable rendering of Scripture for contemporary readers. It dramatically shaped the course of English Bible translation in the latter half of the 20th Century, and remains the Bible of choice for many.
The 50th Anniversary Edition features clear new typesetting that readers are certain to appreciate, and Color Maps. 1248 pages (without the Apocrypha).
