AN 8-SESSION EXPLORATION OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

Based on Philip Yancey's Gold Medallion Award-winning book - a provocative and soul searching group study that will change your picture of the Old Testament.

If you think that the Old Testament is just a mysterious, outdated book, think again. It was the Bible Jesus read, used and loved.

The Old Testament is God's biography, the story of his passionate encounters with people and also a prequel to the story of Jesus, who came to answer the questions that troubled ancient writers and still trouble us today. For expressing our deepest longings and voicing the full range of our lives and emotions, the Old Testament has no equal.

Philip Yancey is your guide as your group explores these sometimes shocking, often cryptic divine writings. You will come to know God more intimately, anticipate Jesus more fervently, and find a wonderful wise companion for your faith journey.

Take a life changing journey to the heart of the Scriptures that Jesus Himself grew up on...and that laid the foundation for everything he ever said or did.

Teaming with the same Emmy award winning film team that produced his What's So Amazing about Grace? Zondervan Groupware, Yancey extends the scope and impact of his book with in-depth video interviews, dramatic illustrations, and powerful insights that will ignite group discussion - and transform the Old Testament from a collection of old writings to a message of gripping intermediacy.

Yancey approaches each of these major segments from a different point of view and adds additional interpretive material, extending the reach of his best-selling book.
