DESCRIPTION

W. Lee Humphreys uses recent developments in literary theory along with the Book of Genesis to show how God functions as a "character" in its narrative. Humphreys discusses the coherence and consistency of God as a character and the way in which God's character develops throughout the narrative. "The Character of God" brings us fresh insight in our reading of Genesis.
