About the author:
John A. Beck (PhD, Trinity International University) has taught courses in Hebrew and Old Testament for more than twenty-five years, many of those years teaching field studies in Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. Beck spends most of his year writing and is a permanent adjunct faculty member at Jerusalem University College in Israel. His articles have appeared in numerous academic journals and books. His books include The Land of Milk and Honey, A Visual Guide to Bible Events, A Visual Guide to Gospel Events, The Baker Illustrated Guide to Everyday Life in Bible Times, and The Baker Book of Bible Maps, Charts, and Time Lines. Beck lives in Wisconsin.
