DESCRIPTION

Drawing from over 25 years of experience in making and leading pilgrimages, Fr. Murray Bodo offers an intriguing guide to the Christian tradition of pilgrimage, with its focus of personal transformation.

Through history, memoir, and personal reflections, Fr. Murray invites readers into a rich pilgrimage experience, both geographically and spiritually. Chapters explore pilgrimages to places like Rome and Assisi, but also pilgrimages of memory - to childhood, to a parent´s grave, to churches and landscapes, to a hometown, and to our spiritual roots through pilgrimage narratives in the Bible and other spiritual classics.

For readers who long to journey to God, and for those who have travelers´ hearts but want to travel in a more prayerful, interior way, The Place We Call Home will be a treasured volume to return to again and again.
