DESCRIPTION
This volume lays out an important new interdisciplinary approach to the relationship between theology and psychology in the work of pastoral counseling. Hunsinger sets forth a method for relating theology and psychology from a Barthian theological perspective.
Her work shows that Barth's theology provides a wealth of material for pastoral counselors who wish to bring a consistent theological perspective to the interpretive task.
About the author:
Deborah van Deusen Hunsinger is Charlotte W. Newcombe Professor of Pastoral Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. She is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
