DESCRIPTION

Teach children aged 4-8 about baptism and Communion with six large group / small group lessons in children's church plus two additional parent/child family retreats to explore each sacrament. Three lessons introduce children to the sacrament of baptism and teach the Bible story of Jesus' baptism, showing how baptism means we belong to God's family. Three lessons on the Lord's Supper teaches children the Last Supper Bible story in terms of the meal, the love of friends, and the memories that were made, instead of the abstract terms of the symbolism of the body and blood of Christ. Two parent/child retreats include rotational activities, a large group time, and a visit to the baptismal font or celebration of Communion. The enhanced CD contains lesson materials for all eight teaching event, reproducible activity pages, parent's take home letters, PowerPoint slides, and recorded songs.
