King of Kings

Because of their beauty and strength, lions have been given the name “King of the Jungle.” In fact, lions and kings are in some ways very much alike. That’s why the greatest real king to ever live, Jesus Christ, was also called the “Lion of Judah” in the Bible (Revelation 5:5).

The Bible says Jesus is so awesome and powerful that at the sound of His name “every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ  is Lord” (Philippians 2:10–11).

Did you know…

•   All people are sinners—we think, say, and do things that are not good, and that makes God really sad (Romans 3:23).

•   The Bible says that our sin has earned us death and we will be apart from God forever unless we believe in Jesus (Romans 6:23).

•   Jesus lived a perfect life and never sinned. He took the punishment for our sin and died in our place (Romans 5:8).

•              Jesus didn’t stay dead—He rose from the grave, beating sin and death (Romans 8:11).

•              You don’t have to be apart from God! The Bible says that Jesus gives life with Him forever to anyone who believes in Him: John 3:16—“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

If you believe these things, you are a member of God’s family! Welcome! Why not tell Him by praying this prayer.

God, thank You for sending the Lion of Judah (Your Son, Jesus) to save me!

I am not good enough to live forever in Heaven with You, but thank You for letting everyone in whobelieves in Jesus. I want You to know that I believe He died for my sins and rose again. I am so glad to be a part of Your family! Amen.
