DESCRIPTION

Robots is such a fun film. It is about the exciting journey of a likable young genius inventor robot named Rodney Copperbottom, who dreams of helping robots everywhere. There is also a bad guy robot named Phineas T. Ratchet who is out to prevent Rodney from achieving his goals.

The evil Ratchet is trying to stop the inspiring message of Bigweld, the master inventor: “You can shine no matter what you’re made of.”

Ratchet’s motto is “Why be you when you can be new?” He thinks that if robots can’t afford to buy his shiny, new upgrades, it’s off to the scrap heap. Even though robots like Rodney can’t afford new parts, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still useful.

With Ratchet in charge of Bigweld’s corporation, the chances of survival for ordinary robots like Rodney are fading fast. Rodney realizes that in order for them to be saved, the evil Ratchet must be replaced by the kind Bigweld as leader.

Real people have an enemy too, like Ratchet, called Satan, who comes to “steal, kill and destroy.” His goal is to keep you from becoming all that God, who is YOUR inventor, created you to be.

The movie Robots tells us how Rodney defeats Ratchet and learns to “shine.” The Bible tells us how we can defeat Satan, in order to become all God wants us to be.

1.    God can help you to “shine no matter what you’re made of.”

That is what the Bible means when it says, “No mind has imagined what God has prepared for      those who love him.”1

2. We need to let go of the things that hold us back.

The Bible says, “For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”2 It further teaches that “the wages of sin is death.”3 The problem is that our sins separate us from God and all that He has prepared for us.

3. Jesus bridges the gap between us and God.

The Bible continues, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”4 The Bible teaches that God placed our sins on Jesus as He died on the cross. Our sins died with Jesus. And, that’s not all. When Jesus rose from the grave He provided the ultimate victory over sin and death. Now we can have new life through Him.

4. By trusting Jesus, you can become all that God intended you to be.

The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”5 It is as simple as that—by believing and trusting in what Jesus has done for us, we are freed from sin and can experience abundant life with God!

5. It starts with a simple prayer.

To begin your new life journey and all that God has prepared for you, simply pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You died for my sins that separated me from God. I turn from my old way of life and ask You to forgive me. I surrender my life to You so I can become all that God has intended for me. Thank You for the promise of eternal life with you. Amen. As your new journey in life begins, it is important that you join with other believers. Let the people who gave you this leaflet know of your decision for Jesus Christ. They will help you fully realize your mission in life.
