DESCRIPTION
In the late 1960s Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California was at the epicenter of one of the greatest spiritual revivals in American history. That revival is known today as the "Jesus Movement". Pastor Chuck Smith and his wife, Kay opened their hearts and welcomed members of the hippie counterculture into their then small church. The result was the conversion of thousands of young people and the beginning of widespread changes in the church that continue to impact us today. What God Hath Wrought tells the story of Calvary Chapel and the Jesus Movement and traces its impact on Christianity including the birth of contemporary Christian music and modern worship practices. The documentary features archival footage from the early days of Calvary Chapel plus interviews with evangelist, Franklin Graham, Author Tim LaHaye, Pastor Greg Laurie, Pastor Raul Ries, Chuck's wife Kay and their children as well as members of the Christian music band, Love Song.
