DESCRIPTION

"We issue this book with the conviction that God's Word is eternally true (Matthew 24:35) and that whatever happens, we must conduct ourselves worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27)."

Bishop Dr Robert M Solomon
President
National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS)
In his Foreword

The issue of homosexuality is always contentious because it carries so much political and emotive baggage. As a result, any attempt to conduct an objective and rational discussion on the topic is unlikely to be read as free of polemics. How then should the Church respond to this highly controversial issue? Aimed at Christian leaders, pastors and those interested in a more in-depth reflection on the issue of homosexuality, A Christian Response to Homosexuality presents the position which the National Council of Churches in Singapore (NCCS) believes to be faithful to the Bible and the best traditions of the Church. It covers:
• The Bible and homosexuality
• Homosexuality: medical and theological perspectives
• Homosexuality and society: a sociological perspective
• Ministry to homosexuals: a pastoral perspective
• Questions and answers on homosexuality
