DESCRIPTION

The issue of homosexuality can be contentions because it carries political and emotional baggage. As a result, any attempt to conduct an objective and rational discussion on the topic is unlikely to be read as free of polemics. Recognising this, however, should not deter any individual or group - not least the Church - from engaging the issue. This book is one such serious attempt at engagement. 

In 2004, in response to the discussion of the day, A Christian Response to Homosexuality - incorporating the study papers published in a special issue of Church and Society, the 2003 Statement of Homosexuality by the National Council of Churches of Singapore, as well as a Q&A written by Dr Roland Chia, who teaches theology and ethics at Trinity Theological College - were published.

This book, Homosexuality: Questions & Answers, is a revised and updated edition of the Q&A published in 2004, and presents the position which the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) believes to be faithful to the Bible and the best traditions of the Church.
